Cergy-Pontoise University is ideally located in the west of Paris, in the Val-d’Oise
department. It’s a short distance from central Paris (30 kms) and easy to
reach. Moreover, it’s in a pleasant environment, a student area, both
easy-going and dynamic, with : 22,000 students in its 14 higher education
establishments, more than 44,000 firms of which 800 are foreign companies, 16
cinemas, 19 museums, 3 theatres, music halls and festivals and the
Cergy-Pontoise recreational park (250 hectares, of which 150 are for water and
land sports).

A day in Cergy-Pontoise...
Start your day with an invigorating walk across the Axe Majeur park.
Take in the view of the city, the architectural monuments and Paris. On a clear
day you can see the Eiffel tower.
Then take a refreshing dip in the Axe Majeur pool before enjoying a
well-deserved lunch at the Cergy port.
In the afternoon, you can go to the Utopia cinema at Pontoise, then take in a
fencing lesson at the university and end the day in music with a concert in the
Observatoire hall.
