Workshop on Mulsemedia Ecosystems
To be held in the framework of the International ACM Conference on Management of
Emergent Digital EcoSystems (MEDES 2010)
October 29, 2010 Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand
Mulsemedia ecosystems consists of self-organizing multiple sensorial media devices. Thanks to the evolution of networked "multiple sensory devices", mulsemedia content can finally be properly distributed and managed. Within this framework, it is now possible to interact with applications that engage not only audio and visual senses, but also the senses including: haptic, olfaction, and gustatory.
The aim of the workshop is to provide a platform for bringing together researchers, practitioners, designers, and users of mulsemedia ecosystems to discuss how specific issues relating to mulsemedia ecosystems can be addressed by means of modeling, devices and application development, usage and evaluation. Specifically, we will discuss how the influence of Semantic Web and Collective Intelligence Technology can help in the development or enhancement of digital Mulsemedia ecosystems. Thus, the workshop should enable a fruitful exchange of ideas concerning the state-of-the-art issue of Mulsemedia ecosystems.
In addition, the Workshop on Mulsemedia Ecosystems aims to increase the awareness of this specific area by providing a forum to exchange ideas and discuss state-of-the-art results.
Topics include but are not limited to:
· Mulsemedia Ecosystem Infrastructure
· Context-aware Mulsemedia Ecoystems
· Metrics for Mulsemedia Ecosystems
· Mulsemedia devices in digital ecosystems
· Mulsemedia in distributed digital ecosystems
· Mulsemedia ecosystem user studies
· Multi-modal interaction
· Mulsemedia and virtual reality
· Olfactory enhanced media
· Quality of service and Mulsemedia
· Tactile/haptic interaction
· User modelling and Mulsemedia Ecosystems
