The International ACM Conference on Management of Emergent Digital EcoSystems (MEDES 2009) Technically sponsored by both ACM SIGAPP and ACM SIGAPP.fr Chapter with the cooperation of IFIP WG 2.6 October 27-30, 2009 Lyon - France ======================= Call for Tutorials ======================= Descritpion ------------ The ACM MEDES'09 invites tutorials to be held in conjunction with the conference. Both technical and application-oriented tutorials introducing or providing a comprehensive in-depth view of the state-of-the-art into areas related to conference themes are of interest. The topics of the conference are - Digital Ecosystem Infrastructure - Web Technologies - Social Networks - Data & Knowledge Management Systems - Multimedia Information Retrieval - Ontology Management - Services systems and Engineering - E-Services , E-Learning, E-Humanities and E-Government - Emergent Intelligence - Game Theory - Networks and Protocols - Security & Privacy - Standardization and Extensible Languages - Human-Computer Interaction - Digital Library - Open Source - Business Intelligence - B2B, B2C, B2A, E-Commerce, E-Business, E-Marketing and E-Procurement Submissions ------------ Proposals submission should be made to the Tutorials Chair in plain text or PDF format and should include a cover sheet and an extended abstract. The cover sheet should specify: 1. the title of the tutorial 2. the length : half day (3 hours plus breaks) or full day (6 hours plus breaks) 3. the intended audience (introductory, intermediate, advanced) 4. the complete contact information for the contact person and other presenters 5. a brief biography (max. 2 paragraphs) for each presenter 6. the audio/visual equipment needed for the presentation. The extended abstract should be 4 to 6 pages, and should include an outline of the tutorial, along with descriptions of the course objectives and course materials.
